Yuma Ballet Theatre leads the dance every "step" of the way. Proudly, Erika Farrar-Romanyuk, a homegrown ballerina with over fifteen years professional experience, has been hired as the Artistic Director. With our 28th season of dance, YBT embarks on a new and enhanced journey of our vision, the creation of Yuma's first professional ballet company. And in August of this year, YBT opened its doors to our new "School of Dance." What "Ahhh...some" accomplishments! Throughout the years, the strong executive leadership, the insightful artistic vision and the community's open arms have honored YBT with strong support and allowed us to celebrate these milestones!

Yuma Ballet Theatre and Performing Arts Company Inc. was the original ballet and performing arts company in the Yuma area, founded by Linda Cannon Farrar in 1979. Linda is a native of our community and has influenced our youth in a very profound way with the arts. Linda continues to influence the cultural arts growth in Yuma and surrounding areas through her expertise and vision.

As president of the board this year and as a past Board member for some ten years, I have seen many changes and I am truly honored to be a part of these fabulous firsts for the community of Yuma. On behalf of myself and the entire board we invite you to participate with us to the fullest by attending our ballets, partying with us at our fund raisers, by bragging about us, and by supporting our future by donating and joining "Friends of Ballet."

YBT is committed to the children of Yuma through our outreach program, our scholarship funds and our educational developmental programs. We hope you will help us to fulfill our mission for the youth of our community and choose to be involved in dance. Your contribution will help our organization grow and contribute to our community's desire for the experience of the fine arts, as well as offering financial scholarships towards experiences in the realm of dance for our youth.
